I truly love any form of credit facility that can help me achieve a decent APR deal and maybe do some good elsewhere, that’s why I was happy to give a mention to the American Express Red.

In a similar vein I spotted this new credit product released by the NSPCC. Here’s the lowdown:

All money raised from the use of this card will go towards the £85m the NSPCC needs to raise every year to fund its vital services for children.

The NSPCC receives £20 the first time the card is used and 25p for every £100 spent on the Card. This money is contributed by Bank of Scotland, and costs the cardholder or NSPCC nothing extra.
  • Typical 16.9% APR (variable)
  • 0% interest on purchases and balance transfers for the first 6 months
  • Up to 2% balance transfer fee
  • £20* donated by Halifax to NSPCC when account is first used
  • 0.25% of all purchases donated by Halifax to NSPCC
Credit Card Cool award a *** ranking out of a potential ***** star ranking for the NSPCC credit card.
