Get Minted With The Mint Credit Card!

The much vaunted Mint Credit Card seems to be advertised just about everywhere at the moment. I certainly like the look of it from an aesthetic perspective but there is very little to distinguish it in terms of features which include:

image

  • 0% on purchases and transfers - fixed until March 2007.
  • Typical APR (variable) is 15.9% - not bad.
  • For those taking up the offer, Mint will offer a further 0% until November 2007 on all new balances transferred in May 2007.
  • Oh dear - there's a 2% handling fee for each balance transferred. I wish the credit card companies would just scrap this.
  • The Mint card also offers a generous credit limit, worldwide acceptance, and a revolutionary mc shape. We at Credit Card Cool love this new design, it really breaks the mold but doesn't really make up for the lack of original features.

Credit Card Cool award a *** ranking out of a potential ***** star ranking for the Mint Credit Card.

READER COMMENTS:

I love the MINT Card shape - I took it out, and have recently been upgraded to a Platinum MINT MC2 Card, which looks realy cool!
Why can’t more cards go with a funkier style, ro shape - surely theres a market for them??

Hi Fiona.

You’re so right. Why do credit cards have to be boring. Rock on funkier styling and shapes.

You’re spot on, there must be a market for them.
