We like to take a vain look at the aesthetics of certain credit cards as well as the functionality they offer. As far as the Virgin Credit Card goes we like it’s look and it has some reasonable components to it’s offer.
These include:
- 0% p.a. for 12 months on balance transfers
- (2% handling fee applies)
- 0% p.a. for 3 months on card purchases
- 15.9% APR typical rate (variable)
- You’ll also get 56 interest free days on your card purchases, as long as you pay your statement balance in full and on time every month.
The Virgin Credit Card comes with some decent discount deals too.
- You can get 10% off all your DVDs, CDs and games from Virgin Megastore online when you use your card.
- Plus, when you use your Virgin Credit Card to buy a new Virgin Mobile, you can save 20% - so you can spend more time chatting to your mates.

The cards themselves come in a variety of snazzy colours and designs that look pretty credit card cool.
Credit Card Cool award a *** ranking out of a potential ***** star ranking for the Virgin Credit Card.
The much vaunted Mint Credit Card seems to be advertised just about everywhere at the moment. I certainly like the look of it from an aesthetic perspective but there is very little to distinguish it in terms of features which include:

Full marks to Capital One they have come up with some great credit card designs that really are very Credit Card Cool.
These designs are bound to impress your friends and at the very least put a smile on your face when you cough up the readies for that expensive purchase!
Here are some of the design choices you have when applying for your Capital One Platinum Mastercard.

My personal favourite is the St George’s flag - got to be patriotic during the football world cup! But the piglet and the monkey are equally great designs.
The card offers the following features:

It seems an age ago since Sky started out in the satellite TV market. They seem to have gone from strength to strength over the last decade.
Even with their great success it was quite a surprise to receive a mail shot from Sky offering their new credit card. It does seem like every man and his dog if offering a credit card these days.
Anyway Sky seem to be offering a package that includes benefits and rewards but an uncompetitive APR in my opinion.
Here are some of the features.

We’re going to be taking a look at which credit cards have the x-factor and which don’t over the coming months. Whilst we probably wouldn’t admit to it, many of us catch a glimpse of other people’s cards and make judgements as to their status and wealth based on this. I’m afraid we don’t have the statistical research to back this up yet, but it’s something I have definitely observed in the wild. It’s a little bit of the snob in all of us coming out I guess. Nonetheless, this is interesting from the perspective of what makes an opulently good looking credit card?
Gold and silver are favourites for credt card design and for obvious reasons, but my personal favourite is the legendary Black Amex!
